Eurovision Party what a nite! :D

Well another post in my blog quite shortly after my last one, just to write about yesterday's great night so that I will never forget hehe :) Yesterday night was a testament to the power of facebook in helping you organise events, and to the value of having great friends with whom to party! It was all started by Dawn (Maltese girl in Lufbra) who told me to invite some friends to watch the Eurovision at her house. Unfortunately Malta was eliminated in the semi-finals but that didn't deter us from organising this event. I therefore invited all my friends to come and most did turn up, meaning that the house was quite full I lost count of how many people kept on arriving throughout the evening hehe. Well I must admit that I didn't see more than 5 minutes of the song contest itself as I spent most of the time talking to the other people and drinking from the large assortment of drinks available and the special new cocktails prepared by the Greeks haha (we have several patents pending on these drinks hehe). Having so many friends around for the whole night was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was going home right after the Eurovision ended, but noooo wayyy hehe some of my friends wanted to go partying and so I got dragged along to Vice Versa where we spent another 2 hours of crazy top-notch partying haha really good hadn't been to such a funny party since the 1st semester with Rafa and co. So a really great night I want to thank all my friends who were there and of course Dawn who hosted us at her nice house and really organised the night perfectly in true Maltese style :D

Paris for my birthday and more partying

Yo again, life is really great here at the moment, just been to Paris for my birthday and really enjoyed every minute of this trip. I stayed at one of my best friends in Lufbra, Sophie, who is now working in a town called Clergy which is about 30 mins from Paris. Sophie took me round Paris to see most of the famous monuments and buildings and the weather was also very hot :D In fact my skin now has some colour hehe. Another amazing thing about Paris and France in general is the food, really really top class I fell in love with every type of food I tried there, especially the Boulangeries really great bread :D I spent the last day in Clergy where there was a fair near the river which was really cool and a perfect ending to this holiday, all in all a great way to celebrate my birthday. By the way I would also like to thank all those people who sent me their best wishes for my birthday :)

Playing a traditional French game

Upon my return from Paris I met Ignacio who came to Lufbra for the Hey Ewe party hehe, he stayed at my flat from Tuesday to early Thursday and we had a great time together. On Wednesday there was also the international day where most countries were represented through stands featuring traditional food, costumes and other information. There was also a cool fashion show with students dressed in their country's traditional dress.

At the Jordanian stand

As can be seen these last two weeks have been really great, my next activity will now be my trip to Peak District on Saturday. I hope that the weather turns out nice as I would like to take some good photos there. In the meantime the parties continue as can be seen in the photos :D

Another update in a few days after some more events! Adios!
