A word about English style business

Today's event sums up my bad feelings about many businesses in the UK, who show no regard or respect to their customers. Unfortunately my stay here in UK has been tainted by many occasions in which I encountered an unfriendly or purely stupid attitude by some English businesses. As I said before, the main focus here seems to be MONEY, MONEY, MONEY and nothing else.

Anyway coming back to what happenned today, I was sent a text message by Wild nightclub, a popular venue here in Loughborough, saying that tonight there was going to be a party with an open bar (providing you pay a 10 pound entrance fee). This seemed to be a reasonable price and I was very enthusiastic about going tonight. The website was also advertising this event and I was encouraging all my friends to come too. However a few hours before the event the management of Wild decided to put in a small piece of text at the bottom of their website saying that the offer was no longer valid. I couldn't believe it as it is so not ethical to do that and moreover I was somewhat expecting something like that would happen as it seems they are always trying to find a way to take advantage of you over here.
