December - Partying, Goodbyes and Christmas Holidays
Hey there time for another update on my life here at Loughborough :D This month has been really great, so I will to describe what has been going on here....
Vengaboys, ISA Party, Wild and other parties
This month we really had some great parties, and the best thing is that they are all documented in pictures as we took the camera to most of these parties :D My favourites were definitely the ISA Party (aka Water Party), all the parties at Wild and also the Vengaboys and the last Friday Night Disco.

Me and rest of party friends at FND
The ISA party was great as I made a pledge to drink only water before and during this party and I still got really high lol, it was a very good party with good music and a great crowd of friendly people :D

This month we discovered the disco Wild which plays some of the best music here, mostly classics of recent years and also 90s, so I always have fun there :D Of course the Vengaboys were another classic show, taking me back some years to the times of 'We're going to Ibiza' and 'Boom boom boom...' and partying at Axis :D

Also the final friday night party was really good as it was our final party together and we really made the most of it with some very funny stuff haha :D Come on to party!!!!!

I've also been visiting other interesting places around the UK, so here's a round up of these fun-filled days in the following cities:
Bath

Me, Rafa and Alex in Lincoln main street
This visit actually took place in November but since I didn't include it in last month's blog I'll talk about it here. Bath is famous for its Roman baths and other remains from this time, it is a small city but is quite a nice place. I visited Bath with the Singapore club, and with me I had my buddies Rafa, Akram and Alex(with his bad foot). Actually our departure to Bath was delayed for around an hour in the morning cause we were waiting for el mexicano alex, who was still in bed at the time we were supposed to leave lol.

Rafa and Alex listening to the explanations
Anyway the weather in Bath was quite greyish but at least the rain we had experienced in Lufbra had stopped by the time we arrived at our destination. First thing we did there was visit the Roman baths and the place was quite interesting, similar to the remains in Malta, but they also have a good museum with some wax figures which I enjoyed taking photos of. Alex's foot was not in excellent shape, so at one point he decided to dip his foot in the Roman bath which was famous for its healing qualities. Of course this attracted the attention of the security guard who immediately stopped him, however we have some nice pics of his actions haha.

The rest of the day was spent limping around and seeing what the city had to offer apart from teenage girls (for Alex lol) and Roman Baths. We found another place with circular buildings which was a very nice sight, and we also managed to grab some bargains on clothes :) All in all an enjoyable day at this historical British city.

Lincoln
Lincoln is a nice little city famous for its Christmas market which attracts around 250,000 people every year, and we were lucky to be there this year while the Market was in full swing so we could experience this big event. Present for this trip were Rico, Chrissi, Ahmad and Sophie. We also met Ignacio by chance in Lincoln during the day so he stayed with us till the evening. Basically as I said the main event here was the Christmas market so most of the day was spent visiting the stalls and trying out the Glu wine or whatever its called hehe. This type of wine is taken hot and is good for cold winter days, seems to be very popular in Germany especially. My verdict is that it is a nice variation from the normal cold wine, but I'm not sure if I really like it and I guess I prefer my good old chilled white wine or Rose' :D Today I also got to know Ahmad better and we were really having fun as he could understand most of the Maltese words (he's from Jordan), so it was really funny. We also thought Rico alot of expressions and I must say that he's the best student I have tried to teach so far, he managed to say the Maltese words in a very good accent and also remembered them, bravo! :D Another highlight of the day was our buffet meal at a Brazilian restaurant, complete with Brazilian waiters which were subjected to some typical comments in Maltese haha. Anyway the food was really good and it was interesting variation to the normal Chinese or Mongolian buffet we are used to in Malta. The city of Lincoln itself is quite beautiful with many old buildings, a castle and a big cathedral as well. We therefore took many photos including some Black and White experiments for the Rico fashion collection as can be seen below :D

Nottingham
Our final trip together for this year was Nottingham, there we had the chance to visit some Robin Hood sites and also do some good shopping.

The evening was completed with a big dinner at a Chinese restaurant which had a 76 dish menu from which we could choose and eat as much as we wanted lol :) Rico amazed all the staff in the
restaurant by wanting to order everything haha, but it was really good food and I enjoyed it immensely. After the meal we almost got stranded in Nottingham as we lost the train back and couldn't find any other means of transport. Finally we were able to find a bus that was still operating and we managed to get back home safely :D

Goodbyes

Some of my great friends :D
December was also a time to say goodbye to some of my friends who won't be with us in the second semester, such as my very close friends Rafa, Raquele and Christoph among others. Therefore we made the best of our last days together by going out and partying as can be seen in the partying section of this post. Although these friends will be back in january again for their exams, it was still tough to accept that we would not be able to spend more time together in the future, so it was quite sad to see them leave. However I have to say a big thank you to these friends and the rest who will be remaining for the whole year, every one of you has helped in making our stay here till now an incredible time that few of us could have imagined before they came here.
So thank you all and wish you all the best for the Christmas holidays, see you again in January! :D
