November - Come on to London!!

Hi there its me back again for another post to this blog, long overdue actually but I was very busy this month as the course is getting very intensive and its difficult to manage all the things I want to do. The highlight for this month was definitely our visit to London, we had a great weekend there, managed to visit most of the city's famous spots as well as having a go at the nightlife there too, although we have to go again to visit the ministry of sound. We were amazed that even in London clubs close at 3AM which is crazy as we were trying to get in at 1 or 2AM and it wasn't worth paying 10 pounds for an hour then, so for the first day we just wandered around crazily in London, then returned to the hostel where we watched a film on the sofas. It was just as well that we went home early that day coz the next day we had alot of places to visit, hopefully I'll manage to upload the pics from this trip soon to the gallery, as I think that it is easier to follow what we did by viewing the pictures. I also have some great movies (ESPECIALLY the Rico one lol!!!) which however I can't put on the site as the gallery doesn't have this functionality. Maybe I'll figure out some way to put in some videos later on, I think I can use youtube and integrate with blogger, if anyone knows how to do this please let me know :D

Eating at ****** **** in London

Eating mexican food in London

Anyway as you can guess the weather here has been getting colder, however Im still quite happy as it is not extremely cold and we haven't had much rain yet. The days in London were perfect and sunny so I'm not complaining much about the weather for now. Tomorrow I visit another promising town - Bath. Here there are alot of Roman remains I think, and it is a good place to take photos. Coming to the subject of Saturday trips, I forgot to mention another great trip to Stratford, the home of Shakespeare, had a great day there and got to know the great healthy German guy Christoph, who has become one of our party team :D I also took alot of model shots of our own professional model Rico hehe, will post them to the website in a special collection I think :P Anyway we visited Shakespeare's house there and it was quite interesting to learn about this legendary writer.

Taking a piece of Shakespeare's Marijuana haha

Also this month there was the fair in Loughborough, something which I had never seen before in my life so I was pretty impressed and very happy to be there hehe, had a good look around but did not go on any of the rides as most were pretty scary, and I wasn't feeling lucky enough to try and wn some teddy bears by shooting guns at cans hehe, but a great weekend here with this yearly fayre.

Feeling like a child again: at the Fayre

Parties here in Loughborough have also continued as usual, I took a 2 week break this month but now I'm back full of energy to party, and this week's party at the Union and at Rain were great.

Serious guys :P

I'm also attending a Christian course called Alpha with my friend Chrissi, and its turning out to be quite interesting, basically what we do is first have a meal together (very good food), then there is a talk on a particular topic, followed by a discussion in small groups. I also had a couple of good discussions with my Muslim friends which have enhanced my understanding of this religion :D

Good boys @ work :D

I've also found a good table tennis player caled Zahid who is from Pakistan, last week we spent alot of time playing together and we have both improved due to this, we have also played against some other good players at the table tennis centre on campus, so I'm looking forward to playing more table tennis in the coming weeks as it is very good for relaxing, better than football at the moment cause the weather is usually cold and windy which is not very ideal for playing outside.

The football team :D

As regards to food I'm really becoming passionate about cooking, I'm learning slowly but I enjoy it every time I cook and I try to cook something different every time. Maybe I will start cooking for my friends and family when I come back to Malta to show off my new skills hehe :D

Anyway now I leave you in peace as I have lots of work to do and many photos waiting to be organised and uploaded, I will post a short message when i manage to finish the photos.

That's all for today folks, to all my friends in Malta: keep in touch people! Im soon coming back to have a good Christmas time with you all, Brian and Gugi we have to see the new Rocky film it looks amazing!!!

Ciao,

Jean :D
